Our unique model.
The traditional retirement village model relies on residents having a property to sell to fund the “buy-in” to the village. As a result, a significant, and growing, cohort of people – single women in particular – are priced out and left in insecure rental housing.
Abound Communities' unique operating model works to combat this.
It allows us to provide residents with a high-quality community environment. With your support, we can offer substantially greater access to those in need than many retirement villages can, even not-for-profit providers.
The impact of your donations
Thanks to your generosity, we are able to provide life-changing programs, equipment and facilities for the over 400 residents we care for across Victoria.
From new wheelchairs for our residential aged care residents, supplies for our Men's Shed, to much-needed furniture and appliances for our residents at risk of homelessness... Your support will have a lasting impact on the lives of hundreds of older Victorians.

Urgent Need Fund
We need your support now, more than ever
Every year, we provide safe and affordable accommodation for over 500 residents across our five sites. Around 250 of these residents come to us with low, or no, financial means. Many of these residents move into our homes with limited, and often no resources, including appliances, adequate clothing and furniture.
Our Urgent Need fund exists to support residents to purchase items like fridges, televisions, blankets, towels, soft furnishings and clothing.
This fund is running critically low, and without your support, we cannot provide these items for our most at-risk residents.
